Review of the Cretaceous Stratigraphy from the North of Chile Between the 28°30’ and 30°30’ S, Coquimbo Region.

Overall Aim

To build an updated regional stratigraphic framework for the Upper Cretaceous units between 28.5° and 30°S.

Specific objectives

• To collect and synthesize the geochronological data from the Upper Cretaceous units in the study area.
• To check and modify allocations and definitions from the Upper Cretaceous units in the study area.
• To build a stratigraphic scheme for the Upper Cretaceous units and to reassign their distributions in the study area.
